Cassandra Frear notices Robin: Robin, Words cannot convey what your support and encouragement has meant to our family for seventeen years. Yours was the voice of calm and perspective as we struggled to find our way through the challenges of homeschooling. Your wisdom and advice were always sound. I knew I could count on it. You always had time for me: time to discuss problems, time to find solutions, time to encourage. Your enthusiasm for my kids' achievements rivaled, even surpassed, my own. You believed in us. You believed we could teach ourselves, even when we weren't quite sure we could. And you were right. You were always right. You were our sage, our nurse, our advocate. We would not have achieved the things we did, had it not been for you. Our accomplishments are also yours, even as your vision became ours. What we did, what we have, what we now enjoy, you knew from the beginning. You are part of us, part of our achievements, part of who we became. But more than that, your spirit of enthusiasm and hope and faith has somehow become part of my own. I hear your voice when I say to a young mother, "You can do this. Don't sell yourself short. You know more than you think you do." Love, Cassandra

Cassandra Frear notices Charlotte: Charlotte, I spent my first two years away from home, learning under your tutoring. There I found my own feet, my own sense of who I was, apart from the home where I was a child. You believed in me. You believed I could do things. You decided to trust me. Not just once, but a number of times. This made it easier for me to stretch and grow. In the atmosphere you created, of learning and exploring, of fairness and even-handed critiques, I blossomed and became a young woman. Your confidence made all the difference. I still have some of the notes that you gave me. I ran across one as we were packing up our things this summer. It took me right back to the bare stage, the lights, the script in my hand, and you, the director. You were ever the encourager and the engineer of potential. Together, we worked at our craft. It was good. It was very good. I still use many of the skills you taught me. Although I took a path that neither of us anticipated, you should know that not one word, not one gracious gesture was lost. I have carried them all with me, and have them still. The gifts I have now, many of them, are because you took the time to polish me and make them appear. Thank you for investing in me. With gratitude, Cassandra

Cassandra Frear notices Debby: Years ago, you befriended a young anxious girl who had suddenly found herself in the midst of motherhood. Hours you spent teaching her everything you knew -- how to love children, how to be a wife, how to manage a household, how to live on a budget. More than that, you taught her about your God and showed her how she might walk with him. In the hard times, your voice was a light and a strength. More than once, you were the friend who stepped in when the rest of the world walked out. I was that girl. I am this woman because of it. My children and my children's children will drink of the cup of kindness from your hand for years to come. Thank you for investing in me. With love and gratitude, Cassandra

October 1, 2009 @ 4:27 AM

Phil Little notices Leslie Little: Leslie, I just wanted you to know how much of an inspiration that you are to me. Your relationship with the Lord is what drives you and it shows in your life. The way that you are always reading about spiritual things that most people twice your age do not understand or could even comprehend. You have been an inspiration to so many teachers and others that have made comments to your mother and I that I can not even count all of them. The way that your friends talk about you tells me that you inspire everyone that knows you. From Ben Woodhouse who calls you amazing to Dustin Smith to Brother Dennis to Bill Terry who told us that you have a wisdom about the Lord that he had never seen to the many school teachers that have never had a student as remarkable as you . Of course, I already know this because I have watched you grow up. Whatever you do, do not ever let anyone or any job or anything change that special quality that you have. God has a plan for you to use this quality to glorify him. It is much more important for you to do this than anything else that you may accomplish. I pray and will continue to pray that God will guide you in the direction that he wants you to go. I Love you very much and I want you to be happy and I know that the only true happiness comes from a close daily walk with the Lord and being in his will for your life. Love, Daddy

CRYSTAL RANER notices NICOLE CARRY: Nic, you mean the world to me. I remember the day we met at Greenies, I remember the expression on your face, I remember your eyes and the tale it told me. I saw acceptance....I saw sameness. What stood out most is the moment you and I were in the PT room at ATF Norfolk and I was trying to paint the closet. It had these metal brads sticking out and you handed me Angie's sunglasses as safety glasses. I remember making a lame comment that I don't look half as hot in them as she does and your comment still gets repeated to people I meet today: "If I say you look hot in them glasses than you do. Don't ever let me hear you say another bad comment about yourself again, if I say you look good in them glasses, then you look good." I recall the tears in my eyes that day. I finally met someone who saw something spectacular about me, that I have spent more than 40 years overlooking. I may have been well on my way to making some pretty big changes for me and my life, but you made the journey that much easier to make. Sophie Dudley notices Take notice Admin: To whom it may concern, I was refer to you by a wonderful friend of mine , who thought that since I have underaken a similiar project in my comunity it would be wise to be advised by best. I'm in charge of the 1st annual "Gratitude Banquet" a honorable celebration of those people who have impacted the lives of others in such a way that it deserves recognition. Any good deed, large or small is the grandest gesture any one person can do. It's a night where we lift our glasses, humble our hearts and give thanks to those who make a difference in the lives of others. Let us all be reminded that each is capable and all are worthy. I am one person who believes that it is possible. In putting this togother, I quickly realize that I can't do it by myself. All the event details have been completed but sponsorship and donations are still needed. Could you be so kind to share your success and best guide me. Thank you in advance, Sophie Dudley P.O.Box 2096 Colton , Ca 92324 909-549-1150

Steve Strouse notices Ed and Sue Strouse: Mom & Dad, thank you for being an important part of my life. Both of you have always been there for our family. Like Jones you have the right advice at the right time. I am a reflection of you and the lessons that you have taught me over the years. As Brad and Matt grow more independent in their adult lives I see the balance that you demonstrated of being available, but not making the decisions for me. Your dedication to each other and God has had an impact not only on me, but also on everyone that you touch. Keep making an impact in the lives of people and know that they will remember you. Steve
